Sonam Kapoor fumes out from Mausam sets….

Sonam Kapoor recently, threw a starry tantrum in the face of Mausam’s crew when she stormed out of the film’s sets. On many occasions, the actress was sent back home by director Pankaj Kapur when she arrived late for the workshop of his film Mausam. But this time the actress had her way.
A source from the sets revealed, “A few days ago the Mausam shoot was going on in Chandigarh. Sonam had to shoot for a song and had flown down to Chandigarh early morning.
On reaching the hotel she found out that the room wasn’t booked and she had to wait for more than an hour till she was allotted one. Sonam was all red by then.”
The source continues, “She immediately freshened up and reached the sets. On reaching she realised that her make-up man, vanity van, spot boy, all were missing.
None of these facilities, which are mandatory and are supposed to be given by the production house, were given to her.
Still she patiently made calls to the production house, asking its staff for her requirements. None of them reverted to her for the longest time. Result: Sonam stormed out from the sets and did not come for shooting.”
Rumour has it that the actress was in no mood to relent after the incident but gave in after the crew’s persuasion.
“Eventually in the evening, after pacifying calls were made to her by the crew, she returned on the sets and shot for the song,” added the source.
However, Sonam and producer Sheetal Talwar denied the story.

For Gulshan Grover, intimate scene will Katrina Kaif was beautiful…

The hot scene that has Katrina Kaif unbuttoning her shirt in front of Gulshan Grover will come out in the DVD of her debut film Boom. Though Katrina isn’t giving much importance to the scene, Gulshan Grover says it’s a beautiful sequence.
Rather than being embarrassed by the scene which was axed from the censored version of Boom when it released and subsequently flopped, Grover says he’s fine with the scene being a part of the DVD.
In fact, Grover went on to add that it’s a “beautiful scene” that was shot on the backdrop of the aquarium Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai.
Grover, who is now gearing up to act with none other than Salma Hayek in a Hollywood film, said he considers Boom as one of the best films of his career.

If not stopped on time, John and Genelia would have been a married couple…

Vipul Shah’s ‘Force’ will have John Abraham and Genelia D’souza together for the first time. And it is heard that the duo almost got married to each other on the sets of this film as well.
The actors were in a wedding sequence and were stopped from completing the saat pheras at the last minute.
Sources say the ceremony conducted was so authentic that had they completed the last round they would have actually been man and wife!
A source said, “We were shooting in Malshej Ghat and there was this old temple where we had got a local maharaj for the wedding sequence.
Unfortunately the pandit has never witnessed a wedding and did not understand the concept of ‘cut’ and ‘action’ while shooting. It was a multi-camera set-up and so we needed to have minimum shots.
However whenever Nishikant Kamath would say cut, the pandit would not stop. Finally after the sixth phera someone from the unit realized that the mantras were real and if not stopped John and Genelia would be actually married. So, they were stopped before the final round.”
When contacted Vipul Shah said, “Actually it was a funny thing. The local pandit could not understand the dynamics of the shoot and insisted on completing the pheras.
After the sixth phera, everyone burst out laughing as they realized that they would actually be married. John and Genelia then realized this too and burst out laughing.
However the maharaj kept insisting that they complete the pheras and it was difficult to explain to him that we cannot do this.
We also did not want to hurt his sentiments and did not want to be disrespectful towards him. The good part was that the scene came out beautifully as John and Genelia were laughing and smiling, all thanks to the pandit.”

Rakhi rejects a Hollywood project because of love making scenes…

If buzz is to be believed, Rakhi Sawant claims to have rejected a film with Hollywood star Russel Crowe because the script demanded making love on screen and Rakhi wasn’t very comfortable.

“Mujhe do offers aaye thay (I had received two offers), but just because of my broken English, and the bed scenes and smooch scenes involved, I have refused the movies,” says Rakhi, and adds, “They wanted me to do sex scenes. Gladiator ke hero Russell Crowe ke saath movie thi (It was a movie with the ‘Gladiator’ hero Russel Crowe). They wanted me to wear a two-piece, but I was not comfortable with it. I am even okay doing a pole dance, but not smooching scenes.”
If you find that hard to believe, here’s something more believable: Rakhi will play a sex teacher Delnaz Doodhwala in Ashfaque Makrani’s Qasam Se Qasam. Apart from the obvious pun in her character’s name, isn’t that a tad contradictory? “It’s a message that I am giving to the kids. It is also important to tell them about safety. That is my message through the movie,” says Rakhi
Looks like Rakhi is following Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s footsteps.

Weight loss gains Zarine a BIG film….

Katrina Kaif’s look alike Zarine Khan was at one point of time the hot topic in B town. But soon after her film Veer became a dud at the box office, she was not to be seen.
Ever since the actress hit the gym, and lost oodles of weight, she is back once again to make her presence felt in and around B town. She will be seen doing a cameo appearance in Salman Khan’s Ready. Not just that. Zarine will also be seen in Salman’s close friend Sajid Nadiadwala’s film Housefull 2. She has already signed the project.
When contacted, Sajid Khan, confirming the news, he says, “Yes, she has joined the cast along with Asin and Jacqueline. However, I won’t be able to tell you whom she has been signed opposite as the screenplay is quite twisted.
Sajid Nadiadwala gave the story idea. Tusshar Hiranandani, Sajid-Farhad and I are writing the screenplay. Sajid-Farhad are writing the dialogues as well.”
When asked how Zarine was finalised???
Revealed Khan, “I met her at a cancer association function with my producer Sajid Nadiadwala. That’s when we saw how beautiful she has become.
She has lost a lot of weight as well. Within a week we decided to sign her for the film,”.
Nadiadwala confirming the news, said, “I have known her for a long time. We have been family friends and I am glad that we are working together.”

Deepika gets skirts from fans…

ts a regular affair for Deepika Padukone to gets gifts and mails delivered to her house from her fans. If its soft toys one day, its chocolates to greeting cards the next. However, this time, the actress received very unusual gifts. DP was back from Bhopal after the shooting of her upcoming film Aarakshan, and was petrified to find nine skirts sent to her! This is the first time she has got such an unusual gift.
A source reveals, “Usually her fan mail is kept in a separate room. So whenever she comes back from outdoor shoots, she personally sits and reads through each one.
There are times when she’s replied to her fan’s letters as well. But nothing prepared her for nine skirts!”
The actress feels that these skirts are the reactions to her Dum Maro Dum number. The length of the skirts vary. “Some are extremely long, while others are short.” says the source.
Deepika reacts, “I’ve just come home. It has just hit me. It’s all because of Dum Maaro Dum.”

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Hugh Jackman to meet at FICCI

Aishwarya Rai and Hugh Jackman have been invited among other star guests for Frames 2011, the annual FICCI convention of media and entertainment industry. The event is held on the 23rd of this month, and it certainly seems to be high on glamor.
The event, on its third day would have Ash and Jackman presiding over the valedictory session in which they will talk about the commercial side of films, importance of content and more. If buzz is to be believed, the Bachchans are also planning to host a special closed-door party for Jackman.
Other celebrities from Indian cinema attending the event would be Sonakshi Sinha, Karan Johar, Kamal Haasan, Ranveer Singh, Kiran Rao and Maneesh Sharma (director of Band Baaja Baaraat). Topics on various subjects related to film industry would be discussed, like the rise of newcomers and the importance of regional cinema.
Writer Jaideep Sahni, director Sudhir Mishra and UTV’s head honcho Siddharth Roy Kapoor will also be present an will preside over a session to discuss the market research of cinema.

The inauguration will be done with the online premiere of Shahrukh Khan’s documentary on the all-time Indian classic film Mughal-E-Azam. Shahrukh has associated himself with the film to mark its 51st anniversary through a 22-minute documentary.

Madhuri’s huge demand shocks producers…

Madhuri Dixit has quoted Rs 5 crore to sign a film. This is the amount what the likes of Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra demand per film.
Many producers were keen to rope in Madhuri Dixit, but the amount she has asked for has left the producers baffled. No doubt that the wonderful actress hasn’t lost her charm even though she is in her late 40s. But isn’t asking for Rs 5 crore an inordinate demand?
Madhuri can get pricey! Her manager Rikku Rakesh Nath confirms this news to a daily and is quoted as saying, “Yes, Madhuri has asked for five crores. We feel she is definitely worth the price she is quoting. She is a superstar with an enviable fan following even today. So, why shouldn’t she ask for what she deserves?”

Agreed that Madhuri was the eyeball grabber for the TV show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 4 and the makers now want her back for another season. But will the producers in tinsel town cater to her lofty demand? A trade analyst says, “Who will give Madhuri five crores now?” The actress has even declined some offers which required her to do a sister or a mother’s role.

Bebo recently quipped, “I don’t think Priyanka is an actress!” When Piggy Chops was asked for a rebuttal, she coolly replied, “Everyone has their opinion, but I think Kareena is an actress.”

All this started on Koffee With Karan where Bebo made fun of PC’s accent and the latter put the ball back in her court by saying her style of talking came from the same place as Saif Ali Khan’s! Does PC’s thanda answer mean the cold war will now thaw? We hope not.

Actress and chat show host Koel Puri let her couch be a bed for the hot and happening Band Baaja Baaraat boy Ranveer Singh.
Koel wanted to have a tete-a-tete with Ranveer on bed rather than her couch, and why! The host explains this excitedly on her blog, “See, every time I told a woman that Ranveer Singh was next on my couch, with a lusty glint in their eyes they shrieked, “You mean Bittoo Sharma? Oh he’s such a cheapie, I want to ravage him”…. Since I had the power to get him where they were dreaming of, I did.”

Due to financial crisis, their last project Basra was unsuccessful. Nevertheless, Abhay Deol and director Navdeep Singh (Manorama Six Feet Under) team up again for the dark comedy Shaadi Of The Dead.
Confirms a source, “It is very high-concept, crazy comedy. It will be Bollywood’s first zombie flick. The film’s tone is Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge-meets-Shaun Of The Dead.”
About Abhay’s character the source adds, “A lot of prosthetics will be used in the film. We are also be having an international choreographer on board.”
The source further reveals the heroine shortlist, “The director wants to have a fresh and interesting pairing for the film. He is planning to rope in Kangna Ranaut, Anushka Sharma or Genelia D’Souza for the romantic lead.”

Ishqiya sequel finally announced…

Last night, producers of the critically acclaimed film Ishqiya, announced its sequel
Ishqiya was a super success and for a long time, there have been speculations over a sequel. However, last night at a party the producers of the film, Shemaroo and Vishal Bhardwaj, announced the sequel with the same cast and crew.
A source said, “Ishqiya was a huge hit and was also critically acclaimed. The producers were very happy and were keen to make a sequel. However the film did not take off for a long time. Everything seems to be on track now and last night the film was announced at a private party at the producer Shemaroo’s office.
Arshad and Vidya were present when the film was announced, while Vishal, his wife Rekha, and Abhishek Chaubey were also present. Abhishek has an idea and the script is currently under finalisation. The film will go on the floors in the middle of this year.
The last draft is being written and maybe one or two people might be added. Vidya and Arshad are equally thrilled to do the sequel.”
The source added, “Abhishek was being offered to direct a film from several production houses. He too was in talks and there was a strong buzz that he was going to make a film with John Abraham. But it seems nothing did materialise.
Abhishek took a long break to decide his next film script and what he wanted to direct. Finally after this break, he has decided to direct his debut movie Ishqiya’s sequel.”
The producer of the film, confirmed the news and said, “Yes, we have announced the film. However, I will be in a better position to give you details in a few days.”

Rakhi Sawant dances to Mika Singh’s tunes

There is hardly any gossip column which did not go red when Mika Singh and Rakhi Sawant’s kiss controversy struck the limelight. Now, the two have buried their hatchet and Rakhi is doing an item song sung by Mika in her forthcoming flick ‘Qasam Se Qasam Se’. On a recent episode of her comedy show ‘Comedy Circus’, Rakhi Sawant hugged Mika Singh, who had come there as a celebrity judge and publicly declared that they are friends again.
The flick has Rakhi playing a teacher in the film named Delnaz Doodhwala who is born and brought up abroad. She is a sex education teacher in the film and the item song goes something like ‘ Bolne Mein Kya Jaata Hain’. the film is directed by debutante Ashfaque Makrani and will mark the debut of Azim & Faith. In the item song Azim and his gang is trying to grab Rakhi’s attention.

They made a sizzling pair in Karan Johar’s ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ and were also seen together in quite a few flicks like Yaadein, Mujhse Dosti Karoge, and Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon. Now, if things go right, they may be seen together once again with the ‘Jab We Met’ director Imtiaz Ali’s next.
However, this may all turn out to be the filmi pundits’ predictions because despite working in quite few films with Hrithik, Kareena is still sour about she being ousted from ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ of which she was supposed to be a part earlier.

Hollywood Calling for Udita Goswami?

Seems that Hollywood has become the rescue door for our failed Bollywood actresses, who could not taste success here even with their hot and steamy skin shows. First, it was our bold and sexy Mallika Sherawat and now, it is Udita Gswami who has spent a long stay in Los Angeles and has returned only recently. During the two months she spent in the US she has made a lot of friends and acquaintances and she sees a good prospect of shifting base to Los Angeles to start her sagged acting career afresh.
Udita explains that she could not make it in Bollywood because she does not own very Indian looks and feels that she has better prospects in international arena. To kick start her career there, Udita reportedly met Danny Boyle, Gerard Butler and Danzel Washington and also attended the Oscar festivities where she met the likes of Natalie Portman and Gillian Jacobs.
Her efforts do not end here. She has hired a manager, publicist and a lawyer in the US. She has also penned a story and is turning it into a script and screenplay.
“It’s a women centric film. It’s about a girl. I’m really not sure when the film would go on the floors. If it doesn’t work in Bollywood, I am surely giving it to Hollywood,” Udita says.
Dear Udita, all we have to say is that all you need is a little brushing up on your acting skills…. Rest all will follow!!

Shakira to shake for a music video with SRK

IPL tournament is at hand and SRK is leaving no stones unturned to revv up the spirit of his Kolkata Knight Riders which could not prove their might in the three IPL tournaments held so far. However, SRK is high in his spirits and to give a kick to the energy and spirits of the team, he has roped in Latino singer Shakira to feature alongside him in a music video for KKR. The song has been composed by Salim-Suleiman and rendered by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
SRK bonded with Shakira during FIFA World Cup in South Africa last year. SRK has also tied up with Hollywood film-maker Martin Scorsese for a movie that will also star Leonardo DiCaprio.
Well, what Saurabh Ganguly could not do for KKR, we hope that Shakira’s shake does it!!

Aarya Babbar will be seen as Ajmal Kasab in ‘Kuch Log’

Shuja Ali is making his directorial debut with a film titled ‘Kuch Log’ based on 26/11 attacks and the role of Ajmal Kasab in the flick is being played by Aarya Babbar (son of actor and politician Raj Babbar).
“Well, I am playing a character inspired by Kasab in the film,” said Aarya adding, “But I’d rather not talk too much about the film and my character.”
”I’ve read a book on Kasab. I’ve also gone through a rigorous rifle shooting training. It’s not a pleasant thing to relive. But I’m happy to take on such a challenging role,” he said further.
Aarya got the part of Kasab because of his command over Urdu and Hindi and for his Afghani-Middle Eastern looks reportedly. “You can say I look the part,” explained the actor.
Aarya has already done flicks like Ab Ke Baras, Guru and Chamku, but none could give that push to his career. Let us see how much of his talent gets noticed by this one!!

Get ready for Ra One’s video game

When it comes to promoting his projects, Shahrukh Khan believes in taking a step further. He is leaving no stones unturned to create the curiosity for his forthcoming ambitious project ‘Ra.One’. A game, based on the Play station format, is being created in Los Angeles, which will have two main characters as Ra.One and G.one. This fight game will also have other fighters too.
The game has been conceptualized by SRK himself who is taking keen interest in the development of the video game. The game has something unique for every age group at home. It will be available at many outlets even before the film hits the theatres. Shah Rukh has also ensured that Arjun’s and his characters in the game will have not only the same look but also the same weapons, which their characters carry in the film. The flick seems to be a hit even before it hits the screen!!

Sonakshi Sinha has no problem with older co-stars

Sonakshi Sinha may just be 23, but is mature enough to take the challenge of playing the wife to Kamal Hassan who happens to be 33 years senior to her in Tamil-Telugu director Selvaraghavan’s film.
‘Yes, I’m playing Kamal Haasan’s wife in Selvaraghavan’s film. Why should that be a problem?
Once you are in front of the camera, your age should not matter. I never felt like a child while working with Salman Khan (who is 45) in ‘Dabangg’ and now with Akshay Kumar in ‘Joker’. I will be respectful but an equal on the sets with Mr. Kamal Haasan,’ explains the confident new comer.
‘In real life, age makes no difference in a marriage. On screen too your biological age is of no consequence. I’ve been acknowledged for being different from my female colleagues. Let me enjoy this difference,’ she adds further.
The actress has already started her preparations for the role. To begin with, she has asked the entire crew of Shirish Kunder’s ‘Joker’ in Chandigarh to stop treating her like a child. ‘I’m not letting them treat me with kid’s gloves. I’ve made it very clear that Akshay, Shirish, Farah Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Sanjay Mishra and the entire team are my friends. It’s the only way to work,’ she said.
She is not only taking help from her father to learn Tamil and Telugu, but also intends to watch Kamal Haasan’s film ‘Hey Rama’ where the actor was married to Vasundhara Das, at least 25 years his junior.

It is heard that Salman Khan had to engage in a lip-lock with his co-star Asin in Anees Bazmee’s upcoming flick, Ready. But, the scene had to be dropped from the film as Sallu refused to do it, point blank.
This is not a new thing for Salman’s directors. Even in his previous films like Maine Pyaar Kyon Kiya and Yuvvraaj, he refused to get intimate with his then girlfriend/actress in the film, Katrina Kaif. So did the same thing happen in Veer and Dabangg.

The actor is busy preparing and working very hard for Aditya Chopra’s ‘Dhoom 3′. The actor plays a villain in the upcoming flick… He is looking forward to release his home production ‘Delhi Belly’, which is set to hit the screens on July 1.

Katrina very upset over break up rumors….

Katrina Kaif is very upset and is fuming with rage over rumors about her alleged `marriage’ and break-up with Ranbir Kapoor. The actress expressed her shock and disbelief at the rumours by calling them “rubbish”, “ugly”, and “a million miles from the truth”.
“These kinds of talks are just rumours. They are a part and parcel of the industry. One just has to smile and concentrate on work,” Katrina told reporters. When asked if she was ever dating Ranbir,
Katrina said, “I have never commented on my personal life. And will not do so now.”
“These rumours are embarrassing, ugly, a million miles from the truth, beyond fiction. The so-called people close to me who are saying these things actually have no proximity to me”, she added.
“Ranbir is a friend” Katrina insists, adding that her relationship doesn’t go beyond friendship. However, it is really difficult to believe what she claims as the duo were not only spotted having a good time driving on the streets of Mumbai but also spotted sharing romantic moments on the flight from Frankfurt to Mumbai.
The rumor that flooded in and around b-town was that she gave a deadline of March 2012 to Ranbir to marry her and called off the relationship when he did not oblige.

Shahid Kapoor is trying his best to get back his lady love. he is trying every possible way to get into PC’s good books, despite knowing the fact that it is not a very easy task.
If buzz is to be believed, ever since Priyanka returned to India from her Don 2 shoot in Malaysia, Shahid has been goin all out of his way to woo her by sending her flowers and bombarding her with ‘miss you’ and ‘let’s work it out’ SMSes.
A source tells, “Her absence from his birthday party (on February 25) has affected him to such an extent that he’s been sending her flowers and texting her constantly.”
Shahid, however, realising his fault, is even ready to apologize. But PC is in no mood to forgive just yet.
The source confirms, “When she’s in love, there’s no holding back. With Shahid, she decided to go that extra mile and make it work. That said, this hasn’t been their first break up, but it’s definitely the most painful. At the moment, she’s not responding to his calls or messages. But common friends are trying to get them back together.”

‘Munni Badnaam Hui’, one of 2010′s sexiest item number from Salman Khan starrer ‘Dabangg’ has created history by entering the Guinness Book of World Record. Over 1200 people danced for three minutes on the song, led by Malaika.
The event was organised by Indian Film festival 2011 director Mitu Bhowmick Lange to promote Bollywood Down Under. The song was played at Melbourne Park in Australia on weekend with over 1200 people dancing together. Malaika received a certificate for setting the record on Sunday.
Lange said: “It’s been amazing to see such a large crowd has come together and danced with same steps on this exciting number.” The earlier record was set in Singapore when over 1008 people danced for a song.
Malaika was accompanied by her Bollywood star husband Arbaaz Khan and her son. The gala evening was also attended by Vidya Balan, director of ‘No one Killed Jessica’ Raj Kumar Gupta, director Kabir Khan and Pakistan pop singer Ali Zafar.

Sonam goes GLAMOROUS!!!

A couple of brand new stills of Sonam Kapoor in her upcoming comedy ‘Thank You’ were released on Woman’s day.
Sonam, the fashionista that she is, is glamorously dressed in the stills. In one of them she is seen wearing a charcoal halter mini with flirty waves and in another she is wearing a plunging neckline with pulled back hair and fresh faced makeup.
In the film, Sonam plays a tennis player and Akshay Kumar’s love interest. This is her first out and out comedy film and she dresses bold and in high fashion.
The film additionally stars Bobby Deol, Suniel Shetty and Irrfan Khan in the lead roles and Celina Jaitely, Mallika Sherawat and Vidya Balan in cameos.
The Anees Bazmi helmed film is due in theaters on April 8.

Aishwarya Rai snubs Bebo at an fashion award function…

Eyewitnesses present at a fashion awards function inform us that Kareena Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shared an awkward moment. Ash walked past Bebo, who was sitting in the front row and refused to acknowledge her presence. Kapoor for her bit looked unruffled by the snub, as she too did not as much as glance in Aishwarya’s direction.
The snub is the result of an age-old tiff from the time when Kareena’s sister Karisma Kapoor was supposed to marry Ash’s current beau, Abhishek Bachchan
Well, they won’t be seen bonding anytime soon, that’s for sure.

It was therefore no surprise to know that Deepika Padukone appears without even a dab of lip-gloss in Aarakshan, wearing the most ordinary salwar-kameez outfits reminding everyone including Prateik Babbar, of Prateik’s late much-missed mom Smita Patil.
On the streets of Bhopal where she is shooting, Deepika passes off as just another face in the crowd.
Last week while doing a huge breakdown scene with Saif Ali Khan in the artificial rain with absolutely no accessory or adornment on her person, Deeepika pulled out all stops to deliver a rousing performance that left everyone including the Big B impressed.
Says a source from Bhopal, “It was a long sequence in artificial rain where Deepika confronts Saif. We don’t know what triggered off that huge powerhouse of emotions in Deepika. But she simply broke down. We suspect Deepika referred back in her own life to feel the agony of her character reaching out to a man who won’t express his love.”
Confirming the high-velocity sequence with Deepika, director Prakash Jha says, “This is not the first time that Deepika has surprised me with her emotional intensity in Aarakshan. She is tapping into areas of her emotional reservoir that she has never touched before. That’s why the intensity.”
